Recently, the Florianópolis and Vitória airports, operated by Zurich Airport Brazil, have obtained I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) certification. Also, the Florianópolis Airport has won first place in the latest edition of the ANAC Sustainable Airport Award.

 

 

As one of the most well-known green certifications in the field of international renewable energy, I-REC originates from the International Renewable Energy Standard Foundation, a nonprofit organization with its headquarters located in the Netherlands. In addition, an important component in promoting the development of green airports in Brazil is the ANAC (Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency) Sustainable Airport Award, a recognition program aimed at supporting the sustainable development initiatives of the airports in Brazil.

 

Zurich Airport Brazil has been committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and implementing the ESG strategy of the aviation industry. To further promote the sustainable development of airports, Zurich Airport Brazil has decided to stop using auxiliary power unit (APU). Instead, Shenling’s aircraft pre-conditioned air unit (PCA) has been adopted to provide air conditioning for the aircraft cabin and was put into operation in March of this year. After monitoring the operation, the airport is highly impressed with the performance and energy-saving effects of the Shenling’s units. According to Zurich Airport Brazil, this system can reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 1,300 tons at Florianópolis Airport and about 1,200 tons at Vitória Airport annually.

Kürzlich haben die Flughäfen von Florianópolis und Vitória, die von Zurich Airport Brazil betrieben werden, die I-REC-Zertifizierung (International Renewable Energy Certificate) erhalten. Als eine der bekanntesten grünen Zertifizierungen im Bereich erneuerbare Energien stammt I-REC von der International Renewable Energy Standard Foundation, einer gemeinnützigen Organisation mit Sitz in den Niederlanden. Ein weiterer wichtiger Bestandteil der Förderung grüner Flughäfen in Brasilien ist der ANAC (Nationaler Luftfahrtbehörde Brasiliens) Sustainable Airport Award, ein Anerkennungsprogramm, das darauf abzielt, die nachhaltigen Entwicklungsinitiativen der Flughäfen in Brasilien zu unterstützen.

 

Zurich Airport Brazil setzt sich aktiv für die Reduzierung von Treibhausgasemissionen ein und verfolgt die ESG-Strategie der Luftfahrtindustrie. Um die nachhaltige Entwicklung der Flughäfen weiter zu fördern, hat Zurich Airport Brazil beschlossen, die Nutzung von Hilfskraftanlagen (APU) einzustellen. Stattdessen wurde Shenlings Vorab-Konditionierungseinheit für Flugzeuge (PCA) eingeführt, um die Kabinenklimatisierung der Flugzeuge bereitzustellen, die im März dieses Jahres in Betrieb genommen wurde. Nach der Überwachung des Betriebs zeigt sich der Flughafen von der Leistung und den energieeinsparenden Effekten der Shenling-Einheiten sehr beeindruckt. Laut Zurich Airport Brazil kann dieses System die CO₂-Emissionen jährlich um etwa 1.300 Tonnen am Flughafen Florianópolis und etwa 1.200 Tonnen am Flughafen Vitória reduzieren.
