PCA unit is driven by electricity and works with a direct evaporating refrigeration cycle and air-cooling technology. it can replace the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) of aircraft to provide fresh air and a comfortable environment with appropriate temperature and humidity to the aircraft cabin through an air hose. Compared with APU, PCA unit operation cost is 80% less with the same effect.

Energy Saving
Before launch or during maintenance, the aircraft needs power and compressed air for air conditioning in the cabin. But it costs a lot with the APU system by burning expensive aviation fuel. Besides, exhausted air emission, such as CO2 from fuel burning, causes pollution in the airport. Shenling PCA unit has passed the authorized organization test and obtained the qualification certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China. With higher energy efficiency and better performance, the Shenling PCA unit has reached the leading level.
According to basic calculation, for an aircraft with air conditioning supplied by APU, the fuel consumption per hour is 4.88 times of the Shenling PCA unit combined with the boarding bridge. Take the Shenling 60 USTR PCA unit as an example, it can save 214 tons of aviation fuel, which is equivalent to 314.9 tons of standard coal, compared with the APU System. Also, nearly 1200 tons of exhaust gas from aviation fuel burning when aircraft is on the ground, including CO2, NO, N20, and CO, can be reduced per year. lt means customers can be benefited from the Shenling PCA unit’s energy-saving and environmentally friendly features. The PCA unit can save much more energy than APU System. Aircraft air conditioning costs can be reduced before launch or during maintenance because it is not necessary to switch on APU System, a PCA unit can be used instead and this extends the APUS system service life.

The power supply is optional according to using kcations, 380V-50HZ, 380V-60HZ,400V-50-Z,400V-60HZ415V-50HZ, 460V-60HZ and etc. If a non-standard power supply is required, please specify when ordering Standard models’ operating temperature ranges from -20℃ to 50℃. Low-temperature models range from -40℃ to 50℃. They are applicable to environments of different regions. If there is a special applicable temperature requirement, please specify when ordering.
Various installation methods are available, including hanging type, floor-standing type, towed type, vehicle”mounted type and etc, It can be installed under the boarding bridge cr on the ground. For aircraft on the apron with distance, it can be mounted on a vehicle. Flexible installation can match different airports’ requirements.
